What makes a good ad photo for a trade business

A real photo of your own work — a finished bathroom, a completed roof, a tidy van with your branding — reliably outperforms a polished stock photo for trade services. People are hiring a specific business to do a specific job in their home; a genuine before/after or a photo of you actually on-site builds far more trust than a generic image that could belong to any company.

Good lighting matters more than an expensive camera. A photo taken in daylight, held steady, with the main subject (the finished job, the van, you at work) clearly in frame beats a dim, cluttered phone photo every time. Before/after pairs are particularly effective for renovation-style trades, since they make the value of the work immediately obvious without reading any text.

If you genuinely have no photos of your own work yet, Donded's Creative Studio can generate an image from a brief as a last resort — but it's built as a fallback, not a replacement. A real photo of a real job you did last week is worth more than any generated image, because it's proof, not an illustration.
