What does Donded actually do?

Donded is an AI assistant that creates and runs Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns for you, captures the leads they generate, and automatically gets those leads booked into your calendar — all through a chat interface, without needing to learn Meta Ads Manager yourself.

Do I need any experience running ads?

No — that's the entire premise. You describe what you want in plain English ("I want more leads for gutter cleaning in the next month") and Donded's AI builds the actual campaign structure, targeting, and creative behind the scenes.

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are fully set up — account created, business profile filled in, Meta connected, and first campaign created — in under 15 minutes, assuming you already have a Facebook Page for your business.

What if I don't have a Facebook Page yet?

You'll need to create one first — it's free and takes a few minutes directly on Facebook. A Page is the minimum requirement for any Meta advertising, with or without Donded.

Why does Donded say it can't find my ad account?

This usually means your Facebook Page isn't yet linked to an ad account inside your Business Manager, or you're not an admin on the ad account you're trying to connect. Check Business Settings on Facebook to confirm the Page, ad account, and your login are all properly linked.

Can I disconnect and reconnect my Meta account?

Yes, anytime from Settings → Connected Accounts. Disconnecting removes Donded's access on both Donded's side and Facebook's side, so a future reconnect will show the full permissions screen again rather than a shortened "continue as" prompt.

What permissions does Donded ask for, and why?

Donded requests access to manage ads, read ad performance, see your Pages, and read Page engagement — each one maps directly to a real feature (creating campaigns, showing you results, posting on your behalf where enabled). Nothing is requested that isn't actively used.

Does Donded ever see my Facebook password?

No. Connecting uses Facebook's own official login flow (OAuth) — you log in directly with Facebook, and Donded only receives a limited access token afterward, which is encrypted at rest. Your password never passes through Donded at any point.

I got a notice that my Meta connection is expiring — what do I do?

Meta access tokens periodically need refreshing. Donded automatically refreshes a still-valid token in the background daily, but if you see an expiry warning in Settings, simply reconnect from Connected Accounts to get a fresh one immediately.

What kinds of things can I ask the AI to do?

Create and launch campaigns, check performance on any live campaign, pause or resume ads, adjust budgets, generate ad copy, and answer questions about how your account or a specific campaign is performing — all through normal conversation, no special commands needed.

Can the AI spend my money without me approving it?

No — every action that touches your live ad account (creating a campaign, changing a budget) is something you explicitly asked for in the conversation. The AI doesn't take autonomous action on a schedule or without a direct instruction from you.

Is my conversation with the AI private?

Your conversations are stored under your own account and aren't visible to other Donded customers. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on how conversation data is used and retained.

Can I delete old conversations?

Yes — from the Chat page, select a conversation and delete it individually, or use bulk select to remove several at once. Deleted conversations are permanently removed, not archived.

What AI does Donded run on?

Donded's chat assistant runs on Anthropic's Claude models. This is disclosed as a data subprocessor in the Privacy Policy along with every other third-party service Donded relies on.

What is the Creative Studio panel?

A visual editor for building the actual ad — image, headline, primary text, and call-to-action — with a live preview, alongside the chat. It's an alternative, more visual way to build the same ad creative you could otherwise describe to the AI in chat.

What image formats and sizes can I upload?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP, up to 8MB. For best results, use a landscape or square image at least 1080px wide — Meta compresses smaller images more visibly, which can make text or fine detail look blurry once the ad is live.

Can Donded generate an ad image for me?

Yes, as a fallback if you have no photos of your own work — Creative Studio can generate an image from a written brief. This is intended as a last resort, not a first choice: a real photo of your own job almost always builds more trust with a potential customer than a generated one.

Can I reuse or duplicate an old ad?

Yes — from the Ads Library, use "Duplicate" to open a pre-filled copy in Creative Studio ready to adjust for a new campaign, or "Use as template" to keep just the layout and copy structure without carrying over the specific image.

What plans does Donded offer?

Basic, Advanced, and Pro, each with different limits on active campaigns, AI usage, CRM contacts, and feature access (like the Leads API, which is Pro-only). Full detail and current pricing is on the Billing page inside your account.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every plan includes a 14-day free trial with no charge upfront. You can cancel anytime during the trial from Billing without being charged.

Can I upgrade or downgrade later?

Yes, anytime from Billing. Changes take effect immediately, and Stripe handles the prorated billing adjustment automatically — you're never charged twice for the same period.

What happens if I hit my plan's usage limit?

You'll see a warning in Settings → Usage once you're near a limit (and get an email nudge at 80% and 100%), but nothing is cut off abruptly mid-action. If a limit is genuinely blocking something you need, upgrading resolves it immediately.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Cancelling a subscription doesn't delete your account or data — you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and your data stays intact if you resubscribe later. To have your data actually deleted, use the separate account deletion request in Settings → Privacy.

Can I get a copy of my own data out of Donded?

Yes — Settings → Privacy has a "Download my data" button that exports your campaigns, leads, appointments, and conversations as a JSON file. Pro plan customers can also use the read-only Leads API for ongoing, automated access.

How long does a deletion request take?

A self-serve deletion request from Settings → Privacy is processed within 30 days, per Donded's privacy policy. You can contact support to cancel the request any time before it's completed.
